Do I have to fill in the online form to make an order and get a quotation?

No, you may give us a ring or complete our online contact me form and we'll phone you!
Alternatively, you may print out and post the on-line form to:

What is 'Show Me How It Goes'?

Many times during the course of learning to play a musical instrument, you come across pieces of music that you've never heard of. All you have to go on is the sheet music in front of you. Although we always recommend that it is good to try and work out yourself how the music should sound, at some point it's always useful to make sure you're playing it correctly. That's what 'Show Me How It Goes' is all about. You send us your sheet music and we'll play it for you!

How does the process work?

1. Simply complete the online form telling us what you want us to do. You will be given the choice of sending us your music through the post or uploading it through our online form.
2. We will then email you with a cost and estimated completion time.
3. You can then accept or decline the quote. If you wish to go ahead with the order you can accept the quote online by clicking the link in the quotation email, through the post by sending a cheque, or over the phone. As part of the acceptance, you must provide your payment details. However, we will not process any payment until your order has been completed and is ready for dispatch.
Please note: All credit/debit card details given online will be held securely by Secpay.
4. Once we have completed your order, we will process your payment details and then send you an email with a link to access your download or post a CD to you containing your recording. We will also return your sheet music to us if you sent us your original copy.

Can I submit an order from outside of the UK?

Yes, However, you can only receive your order via download from our web site.
Please also note that if you send us anything to help us create your order from outside of the UK, we will be unable to return it to you. You can, of course, upload material to us. Click here for more info.

How long does it take to produce a recording?

Normally we can complete a 1-2 page piano piece within 24 hours providing the sheet music you have sent us is in good condition and the print is legible. Obviously, the more instruments involved and the larger the piece, the longer it will take and we therefore recommend that you give us plenty of time. If there are copyright issues, (see copyright question), this may delay the completion of your order.

What types of sheet music can be used for 'Show Me How It Goes'?

All sheet music that uses standard musical notation. By this we mean crotchets and quavers etc. Unfortunately, at present, we are unable to produce recordings of guitar tab music or percussion music. We hope to be able to offer this in future. If you are uncertain as to whether or not we would be able to produce a recording, please contact us using the general enquiry link near the bottom of the page.
The sheet music itself may either be printed or handwritten. The only condition is that it is clear and legible. If it isn't, the completion process will be delayed.

How can I send you my sheet music?

UK only (click here for outside of the UK):
As well as posting, you may also send us your music through our on-line form. It's easy to do and of course you save on postage costs and time! However, please note, uploading does take twice as long as downloading.
Please do not post any items unless you have first submitted the on-line form or phoned us with your order. If you do choose to post items to us, try to send us copies if possible. If you send originals we will return them once we have completed your arrangement. However postage + packing costs for these items will be included in your quotation.

A. Outside of the UK:
If you are ordering from outside of the UK, you may send us your music through our on-line form. It's easy to do and of course you save on postage costs and time! However, please note, uploading does take twice as long as downloading.
If you are ordering from outside of the UK you may send us your music through the post but we will be unable to return it to you, so please send copies.

How much does the 'Show Me How It Goes' service cost?

As every order is unique, we cannot provide an accurate price list. To find out how much your specific 'show me how it goes' order would cost, please submit an online request. There is no-obligation and we'll email you with a price and an estimated time for completion. You may accept or decline our quote.

Are there implications as far as copyright is concerned?

A. Designer Music is determined to defend copyright and the interests of musicians in general. Therefore if necessary, we will check the copyright status, where appropriate, for sheet music submitted to us for any of our services. If there are copyright restrictions, there may be additional charges to be made. Some copyright owners may allow their music to be recorded for an individual for educational purposes but may insist that the file is destroyed after it has served its purpose. On rare occasions, the recording of such a piece may even be prohibited. Any copyright restrictions including charges, will be advised to the customer before any recording is made and before any payment details need to be given.

What happens if I'm not satisfied with my recording?

If you are unhappy with your recording, you must inform us within 7 days telling us exactly what you wish to be altered. We will make every reasonable effort, free of charge, to make all the necessary changes required. We may also, at our own discretion, decide to completely redo the project, starting from scratch. However, unfortunately, because of the nature of the product, we can't offer refunds, sorry. Please read our terms and conditions  for more info.
