Can I submit an order from outside of the UK?

Yes, However, you can only receive your order via download from our web site.

What do I have to send you to create my printout?

If you are using any of our printing or transcribing services you must send us either sheet music or audio. Obviously, if you want your old and faded manuscripts reprinting, or you have handwritten manuscripts which you wish to be printed properly, or you have sheet music which requires restructuring or resizing then you will need to send us these manuscripts (copies preferably).
If you are using our transcribing from audio service then you must send us your CD, Minidisc or cassette . You can also include pictures and text to be added to your score, but please note, any artwork must be sent to us via the on-line form.

How can I send you music/text/pictures to create my printout?

As well as posting, you may also send us any material through our on-line form. Please note, if you wish a picture to be included in your music, you must send it as an upload; Instructions will be given in our online form. It's easy to do and of course you save on postage costs and time! However, please note, uploading does take twice as long as downloading.
Please do not post any items to us unless you have submitted the on-line form or phoned us with your order. If you do choose to post items to us, try to send us copies if possible. If you send originals we will return them once we have completed your printout. However postage + packing costs for these items will be included in your quotation.

How long does it take to complete a printout?

Once we have received your order (including all the items you send to help us), we will email you with an estimated completion date and cost. If you decide to go ahead, and providing we have all the necessary items - see What do I have to send you to you to help Designer Music create the printout? - it shouldn't take too long. We can complete a short solo piece within 24 hours. Obviously, bigger assignments take longer and we therefore recommend that you give us plenty of time.

What do I get for my money?

You may either receive your printout as a download from our web site or through the post. If you choose the latter you will receive good quality sheets of A4 paper. You may also ask for your music to be laminated (50p per sheet) or comb bound £2.

We prefer the download method for many reasons:

• It is quicker, cheaper and safer than sending it through the post
• If your sheet music printout gets dirty, you can simply throw it away and print out another.
• The quality is just as good as if we sent you the printout through the post.
(Print out a sample now to see how good the quality is).
• Fonts are embedded within the document. We don't send the music as a Word.doc for example, because you may not get what you expected. If you don't have the right fonts installed on your computer, musical notation may end up looking like gobbledygook!! PDF files embed the fonts within the document so this doesn't happen. You can't see the embedded fonts of course but you can guarantee the music will be music and not nonsense!

You may of course ask for your printout to be sent through the post, but please note, there will be additional charges for paper, postage and packing.

How much does it cost and when do I pay?

Once you have submitted your order, we will e-mail you with a no-obligation quote and completion time. If you choose to accept you may do so online, over the phone or through the post. Whichever method you choose, you will be required to provide payment details as confirmation of your acceptance of our quote. However we will only process this payment once your order has been completed. (You may pay by cheque or credit/debit card).
If the printout is especially large, we will process 15% deposit prior to starting but you will be informed if this is the case. Otherwise we will process your card payment for the total cost following the completion of your order.

Q. How will you send me the printout?

You may choose to receive your printout through the post or as a download (PFD file format) from our web site.

We prefer the download method for many reasons:

• It is quicker, cheaper and safer than sending it through the post
• If your printout gets dirty, you can simply throw it away and print out another.
• The quality is just as good as if we sent you the arrangement through the post.
(Print out a sample now to see how good the quality is).
• Fonts are embedded within the document. We don't send the music as a Word.doc for instance because you may not get what you expected.

You may also ask for your music to be laminated (40p per sheet) or comb bound £2.

What happens if I'm not satisfied?

If you are unhappy, you must inform us within 7 days telling us exactly what is wrong and what you wish to be altered. We will make every reasonable effort, free of charge, to make all the necessary changes required. We may also, at our own discretion, decide to completely redo the project, starting from scratch.
Please note: no refunds will be given. As with software, refunds are only made if the product is faulty. However, at Designer Music we do offer to alter the music at least twice and possibly many more times if you aren't completely satisfied. We are also happy for you to make copies of your print, but we can't offer refunds, sorry. Please read our terms and conditions for more info.
