what do we do?

We'll transpose the music for you to the key desired and send it back via email as a pdf for you to print out as many times as you need. If you require multiple transpositions for the same piece we'll only charge for the initial transposition; any more we produce will be FREE.

We create all our transpositions manually, in a quick, accurate and efficient manner checking all our work thoroughly. Obviously, if we do make any mistakes, we'll correct them free of charge. We'll also make any reasonable alterations to the music as you require (eg. changing the layout for easy page-turning, altering the size of the music, adding any additional dynamic/expression/tempo markings) free of charge too.

After practicing your newly transposed piece of music, you may decide that you need it to be transposed again to another key. No problem, just get in touch and we'll produce any additional transpositions for free.

why might I require your transposition services?

the main reasons for sheet music needing to be transposed are:

• to suit a particular voice/instrument.
Eg. an alto sax player joins the band and needs to have all the viola music transposed!
Eg. a singer requires music to be transposed down 3 semitones so that she can reach the high notes.
She also asks that we transpose the piano part  and record  it onto a CD for her to practice with.

• to simplify or complicate.
Eg. Grandma buys her grandson a piece  in F# major which needs transposing into a simpler key!

• to alter the mood within a piece.
Eg. The school band requires a the last verse transposing up a key for a big finish.


• from a CD.
Eg. You have music on a CD you like singing to and would like to have it transposed down a key.
